My name is Melody, my sign name is… The first time I met, oh before I was working then I met a Deaf man – Terry. I went to Deaf Club, I looked around and saw Deaf people, I thought wow! I kept looking around. I didn’t really know sign language before then so wow…. that’s when it really happened for me.
My daughter married a Deaf man, I have three grandchildren. They LOVE signing, all three are Deaf, they all have two cochlear implants each so we can sign away with them. They can talk plus sign. I love it. I found my identity.
