There are two types of Human Rights, the first is civil and political rights and the second is social, cultural, and political rights.
I will go into more depth regarding these two types.
Civil and political rights include the right to life and liberty, the right to freedom of expression, the right to be treated equally in the eye of the law and the right to be free from discrimination.
Social, cultural, and political rights include the right to be involved in your own culture, the right to work, the right to have a home to live in and the right to have access to an education.
Deaf people and hearing people all have the same rights. We all have the right to be alive, the right to be free and to speak up for what we want.
The law recognises everyone as equals. The law says that we all have the right to live free from discrimination. We all have the right to work, and we all have the right to access education. We all have the right to have a home and to live with who we want to live with. We all have the right to be involved in our cultural activities.
Deaf people have the same freedom as everyone else.
